Without You in Pittsburgh
Hello everyone --
　
Some of you may already know this, but I'm very proud to announce that the official World Premiere of my one man show based on my book will be taking place in Pittsburgh. I just arrived into town a couple of days ago and I'm furiously rewriting and working on new material (including at least two new songs). So far it's exciting and scary...
　
The show is taking place at City Theatre (where I was Hedwig a few years ago, and is sort of an artistic home-away-from-home), and runs from August 28th to September 21st. For more information on scheduling and tickets, go to citytheatrecompany.org, or call 412-431-CITY. The theatre has very good pricing policies for students and for people under 30, so be sure to check those out as well.
　
The hope is that after getting in a run of the show here, we'll learn a lot about how best to move forward with it, and after the Rent tour is over next year, I'll get to do it in more places, with a run hopefully happening in New York at some point. We'll see...

Show Description
A special presentation of the stage adaptation of Anthony Rapp’s bestselling memoir, "Without You," featuring music from Rent and original songs.
　
Anthony Rapp has been acting and singing professionally since he was nine years old. With an extensive list of achievements, Rapp is best known for originating the role of 'Mark Cohen' in Jonathan Larson's Tony Award-winning rock opera, “Rent”, for which he shared an OBIE Award with the rest of the cast. He reprised his role in Chris Columbus' film version opposite other members of the original cast. Currently, Rapp can be seen visiting the role with original cast member Adam Pascal in the “Rent” Tour. Anthony recently filmed Donald Roos' “17 Photos of Isabelle” opposite Natalie Portman, Lisa Kudrow and Jefferey Dean Morgan.
